full name: sylvia hollins
age: 19
gender: female
orientation: bisexual
role: server
appearance: sylvia has a smile that can light up a room. the only reason someone would know this is because she smiles so much. she already has the starts of smile lines by the edges of her eyes, right under her messy attempts at having winger eyeliner adorn her face. some days she doesn't bother because she knows she's not doing something correctly. sylvia is a short girl with a rather pudgy, rosy face and long arms that could've been useful if she had just been granted a few more inches to her height. her hair is a curly, short, light brown that's often pulled up in a ponytail, and if she has a special amount of time she can try to tie it up into braids. her skin is pale and ghostly, matching in with the paler colors that she typically wears outside the cafe. she has thin-rimmed glasses that look like they could be snapped in half with a subtle nudge. and that's happened before.
personality: sylvia wants to make money. that's the truth of the matter. cafe katu gave her the opportunity to be around these cute creatures while also making some money while doing so. the cats will occasionally startle her, being raised in a dog-loving home, but she still admires the felines. while the fact that the cats just do whatever they want and she's a bit of a control freak messes her up a bit, all she has to do is look back at their fluffy fur or adorable purrs and she's pulled back into cutesy cat heaven. sylvia never intended to enjoy working there, she'd much prefer working at a place like starbucks as a side-job to make some money, after she found herself working there, she found that a place in which she was surrounded by gentle meows and smiled all the time was a nice place to be stuck at.
history: sylvia had always been a small but fierce little girl. she had grown up the youngest in a family of four, her older sister being her only other sibling. she was born in a city, where she and her older sister could walk to almost anywhere in a short amount of time. a donut store was down the block from their apartment complex, the school was also really close by, everything was close by. she admired the city and how her older sister and parents navigated it like blood-hounds on a mission, so when her parents told her they were moving to a smaller town, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, she was confused.
but, nonetheless, they moved just as she was starting third grade. she tried to fall into place as best as she could, but she was often off-settled by the amount of space they had and how she couldn't just walk down the street and everything would be there. but as she grew up, she made do. she finished grade school, then secondary school, and then she found herself in a bit of a pickle. her sister was off on her own, while she was running onto years in which she wished she could move out. years she should've been moving out. but she simply didn't have the money. her parents had a strong thing about making their children work for what they needed, when she was younger she'd have to buy her own toys if she wanted any. if she thought their dog would like a costume for halloween, she would have to buy it. so when she told her parents she wanted to move out but she didn't have the money, they told her simply that if she didn't get a job than they wouldn't help her move out.
that's how she found herself working in the cat-filled cafe "cafe katu". and yet, she found herself slowly enjoying working there more and more.
