appearance: to put it simply: she always looks tired. most of her classes are late at night due so she can work during the afternoon and she rarely gets much sleep. coffee is really the only thing keeping her alive. she has shoulder length straight black hair and long bangs, often tied back in a bun or just extremely messy. she is a huge fan of winged eyeliner and even though she often looks on the verge of death her eyeliner is always crisp. as for clothes, she has a dress style that mostly involves dungarees and doc martens, the occasional fishnet gloves or crop tops thrown into the mix. her height is around 5' 5" and she is quite slim yet still has a good curve to her.

personality: if one saw her sitting in the cutesy cat cafe sipping coffee and staring determinedly at her laptop they might think she was rather odd. basically she doesn't look like the type of person who would enjoy fluffy cats and cupcakes. and she doesn't. well not on the outside. she's blunt, sarcastic, and irritable to the casual observer but harbors a deep secret: she loves cats. when she is alone melody just adores there little fluffy tails, and perky little ears, and squishy little paws. but if anyone knew they'd think she was weak. so she keeps that fact to herself and just enjoys the cat cafe on the inside. plus they do good coffee.

history: born 2 hours away from bijou city on a large farm, melody was a tomboy growing up. her days were spent running around the paddocks with her siblings, building forts and wrestling with each other. there was a very small town nearby and her 'school' consisted of ten kids in the spare room reading books together. so when she was given a scholarship to a school in the big city her parents were thrilled that one of their children wasn't going to become a farmer. they sent her off immediately to live with her aunt and uncle in their apartment. school went well for her, and she discovered her three interests: cats, art, and girls. when she graduated, melody decided to have a gap year. or three. when she was 20 she applied for a place at the performing and creative arts school, being accepted and starting immediately. this was about the time she discovered cafe katu. fueled by her love of cats and need for coffee to get her through the day, she became a regular customer within the first two weeks of her discovering it.
