marble smelled something. something sweet. well, the entire cafe smelled "sweet", but the sweetness was particularly strong on the trail he was following. the blue and white cat opened his mouth in a tired yawn, before his eyes drifted back over to possible areas were the strong smell could be coming from. there were some places that were obviously not the perpetrator of the smell. the entrance; he knew that all that lead to was the outside, and nothing that sweet could be outside. where he was now, he knew where he was now couldn't possibly be where the smell was coming from, he was there at that very moment.
he raised himself onto all four paws, lifting his small body onto all four long legs. marble jumped down from his little window ledge, pink and black pawpads hitting the cutely tiled floor. his eyes were wide as he sniffed the air, one paw leaning forward and his tail flicking behind him. marble was sure he smelled something; he knew he smelled something.
the blue and white cat followed the scent, padding cheerfully to where the scent was coming from. it lead to a door, a door that was open a notch, letting out a wave of odd, yet sweet smells for the cat to take in. paying no attention to the no-cats-allowed sign, marble slipped through the door, pushing it open a tad bit as he entered. soon enough, he found his way onto a counter, sniffing a bowl of "something" while nudging it precariously with his paw.
